Recalling the club scene and culture in the late 70s — early 80s period, The Famous Door honors and rejoices in liberation of LGBT people. The Famous Door was a nightclub located in Downtown Detroit whose clientele was predominately African American LGBT people. Led by locally celebrated DJs, the evening leads through nostalgia and reunites old friends and generations. The Famous Door is a fundraiser for LGBT Detroit.
