PRIDE DECIDES

Pride Decides is a non-partisan comprehensive voter engagement and legislative program. Since 1994, LGBT Detroit has a significant history in voter engagement. Candidate forums (Mayoral, Gubernatorial and State Congressional), voter registration drives and voter education events have largely occurred during LGBT Detroit’s annual flagship LGBT+ pride project Hotter Than July. As Detroit looks towards the upcoming election cycles, LGBT Detroit continues the non-partisan comprehensive voter engagement and legislative programs. The program, recognized by President Joe Biden, re-engages voters in upcoming elections. Within the COVID-19 pandemic, activities for the program will be a hybrid of virtual and in person activities. Core activities include voter education, voter registration, phone banking, and the practice of ensuring voter participation in any election.

ALL OF US RESEARCH PROGRAM

All Of Us Research Program is specialized health research. The All Of Us Research Program is an effort to provide institutions engaged in research studies with access to a repository of 1 million participants who have elected to give The National Institute of Health their medical information. With this access, the researchers will be able to skip the process of finding and enrolling their audience. Saving time and money, and allowing them to recenter their focus on the work. Along with medical records, the repository also reports on the status of COVID-19 trends and can be used to inform on where resources are reaching the public, as well as where we need to send resources. #joinallofus
